Eddy King is the elder sibling of the back-in-the-day brothers combo of Mike & Eddy King, known to an entire generations of snotty-nosed groms (now grown up to be snotty-nosed adults, just like us) as “King Edward,” The “Silver Bullet,” “Eddy the King” and of course, part of ”The Dynamic Duo,” a title he shared with fellow Diamondback legend Harry Leary.
Nowadays Eddy’s a successful San Diego real estate broker, flipping $2 million homes like the rest of us turned burgers at Jack-In-The-Box throughout high school. Heck, some of us still do. But Eddy is racing BMX again and—even better—doing it in Exustar shoes.
It’s great to have another escuela vieja BMX champ (along with Tinker, of course) running our gear.
As old farts like Commodore Bill will recall, Eddy was particularly dominant as an amateur, winning most of his racing titles at that stage of his career. He went on to be a respected professional for the remaining six years of his 14 year career…all 14 of them with the Diamondback brand.
But that, as they say, was Then. And now he’s with us. We think that’s pretty darned cool.
